With the Tekken 7 review embargo lifted (our review), early copies leaking out to players ahead of launch on Friday, and pre-loads enabled, it’s been revealed that the day one update is roughly 530MB on PlayStation 4.
The PS4’s Update History includes these two patch notes for Tekken 7 update 1.01:
- Online functionality optimized
- Double Elimination added to the tournament rules settings
With the day one update installed, the total size of Tekken 7 is 42.29GB.
If you pre-order Tekken 7 ahead of launch on Friday for PS4, Xbox One, or PC, you’ll receive Eliza as a pre-order bonus. Post-launch, Tekken 7 will receive a brand new game mode, two guest characters, two stages for those characters, and more as paid DLC.
In our review, we said, “While it doesn’t feel as though Namco Bandai has done much to innovate in the genre from the surface, those who prefer Tekken’s brand of fighting than those of Capcom’s or NetherRealm’s will be in for a treat.”
