Ahead of DiRT 4‘s release this week, Codemasters has revealed just what players should expect from the PlayStation 4 Pro version of the game. In an interview with Wccftech, the developer said:
We have made a number of improvements for PlayStation 4 Pro. These include: Increased MSAA on the scene rendering, increased shadow map resolution, increased Image Based Lighting reflection resolution and accuracy. We have also increased the environment map resolution. The mirror rendering has MSAA enabled on Pro while the base PS4 doesn’t have MSAA at all.
Back in January, Codemasters said that it might consider PSVR support at some point as well. “I see no reason why we shouldn’t support it in the future,” said Game Director Paul Coleman.
DiRT 4 releases on June 6 in North America and June 9 in Europe for the PS4, Xbox One and PC. In case you missed it, here‘s everything you need to know about the rally racer.
