Star Wars Battlefront 2 gameplay

Watch More Than 10 Minutes of Star Wars Battlefront 2 Starfighter Assault Gameplay

First there was the leak, then there was the trailer. Now you can get a look at actual gameplay of the space dogfights coming to Star Wars Battlefront 2, straight from EA’s gamescom 2017 press conference. This starfighter assault match shows the rebels attempting to take down a star destroyer through multiple objectives, as well as detailing some of the ship classes and the different traits they will have in the full game.

At E3 this year, we managed to get our hands on both the single-player and multiplayer portions of Star Wars Battlefront 2. Here’s a bit of what we had to say about the single player campaign that PMC got to play:

“Star Wars Battlefront II is shaping up to be an impressive piece of Star Wars history. In just one short mission, we saw an incredible sense of scale, a seamless transition from space to ground combat, and even some stealth gameplay (which we rushed into a bit due to our time crunch, but oh well). To top things off, the game looks and sounds just as good as, and perhaps even better than, the movies upon which they are based. It’s going to feel like an eternity for many of us as we await Star Wars Battlefront II’s worldwide launch on November 17, 2017.”

And of course we can’t leave the multiplayer out:

“As you have no doubt seen by now, Star Wars Battlefront II looks phenomenal. Whether it’s reflections off a Stormtrooper’s suit, puddles of water on Theed, blaster fire, or explosions, the game almost looks like it was ripped straight out of a Star Wars movie. Audio is also impeccable, and intense firefights echo throughout the battlefield. We were playing on a good set of Logitech headphones, and felt especially wrapped up in the action, the noise of EA PLAY falling to the wayside as our focus turned to the action onscreen.”
