Elusive Targets Make a Return to Hitman Starting Today

IO Interactive has announced today that Elusive Targets have returned to Hitman following the launch of the Game of the Year edition earlier this month. The first target will be one that’s familiar to most players, as its the Forger (Sergei Larin), and he’ll be in Paris for 10 days starting today.

For those who don’t know, Elusive Targets are unique enemies that players only have one chance to eliminate. While playing, players have to use clues from the briefing video and photographs they receive to track down their target, learn their patterns and then try to figure out the best way to take them out. If you’re successful, you’ll get some unique suits for Agent 47, but if you fail…better luck next time.

If you haven’t yet attempted an Elusive Target, the reactivation means you’ll get another chance at trying to take them out. However, if you’ve already completed or failed a target, you’ll be unable to play that target again, so there’s still no second chances for those who have messed up already.

In case you missed it, a new update to Hitman recently released, introducing new missions, escalation contracts, and much more to the game:

  • New Campaign: Patient Zero
    • 4 new missions: The Source, The Author, The Vector, Patient Zero
    • After the routine elimination of a target, a contingency plan to unleash a global pandemic is triggered and Agent 47 must race against the clock to prevent a virus from spreading. This four-mission campaign spans different locations in the game, each one re-worked from the original settings with new gameplay opportunities, disguises, characters, challenges, gameplay mechanics, AI behaviour and HUD elements. Due to the dynamic nature of the Patient Zero missions, they are not available for Contract creation.

Hitman is available now.
