Devolver Digital has just announced that their time-oriented adventure game, Minit, is now available at 25% off this weekend only. If you’re unfamiliar with the game, Minit is a an arcade-style adventure game that takes inspiration from The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask and the earlier Link to the Past, in which you’re given a sixty-second life for each playthrough to discover the game-world’s secrets before having to start again. Below is an official description of the game:
Minit is a peculiar little adventure played sixty seconds at a time. Journey outside the comfort of your home to help unusual folk, uncover countless secrets and overcome dangerous foes, all in hopes of lifting a rather unfortunate curse that ends each day after just one minute.
It’s worth mentioning that one of the game’s developers, Kitty Calis, was a Producer on Horizon: Zero Dawn, a good indicator of why this game is renowned for handling large themes and conceptual designs in such a compact universe.
Don’t let the sixty-second time-limit dissuade you in terms of progression. What progress you’ve made throughout your minute-long run will remain a constant in the form of collected items. From there, it’s up to you on how to use them efficiently within the next life.
What do fans of the game have to say about Minit? Is it worth a newcomer’s time? Sound off, below!
