Dead By Daylight Portrait of a Murder

Dead By Daylight Portrait of a Murder Chapter Adds New Killer and Survivor

A new Killer and Survivor are heading to Dead By Daylight later this month, alongside the game’s release on Epic Games Store. The two new characters are part of the new Portrait of a Murder original chapter and will feature the game’s first Mexican American survivor. The Portrait of a Murder chapter content will be available as DLC on the PS4 and PS5, as well as Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Nintendo Switch for $7.99.

The Artist will be the newest killer in Dead By Daylight, and features some pretty grotesque abilities. Her real name is Carmina Mora, a former tortured Chilean artist that has a murder of ethereal crows at her command. After drawing murals exposing local corruption, unknown assailants abducted and mutilated Mora, leading to The Entity awakening her powers. Since then, she has become a vessel for vengeance.

The Artist attacks survivors using her two long, ink-drenched limbs that replace her severed hands. She has some pretty cool finishers, too. Streamer @sammy_m_jay showcased one particular finishing animation, where The Artist causes crows to burst out of the victim’s stomach.

Jonah Vasquez, a Mexican American CIA codebreaker, is the new Survivor. Vasquez encounters Mora after following a strange string of numbers that led to an abandoned Chilean cemetery. This cemetery is the same one that the assailants took Mora to. Furthermore, the dusty Chilean cemetery will also be available as the new map “The Forsaken Boneyard”. The Eyrie of Crows map is also currently available in the player test build of Dead By Daylight. It’s currently unclear whether these two maps are the same.

Additionally, the next week will be the last chance for players to pick up the Stranger Things collaboration content in Dead By Daylight. After November 17, Nancy Wheeler, Steve Harrington, and the Demogorgon will no longer be available in the in-game store.
