LEGO Star Wars Skywalker Saga Levitation Glitch

Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga Players are Beating Up Young Anakin to Reach New Areas

LEGO games are always full of areas you can’t reach until you come back later with a new character and a new ability. LEGO Star Wars: the Skywalker Saga is no different, but some players have found a slightly different way of using a character to glitch into new areas of the game by levitation.

How does the levitation glitch work?

When attacked, the vast majority of LEGO characters will disintegrate into brick studs, However, child characters don’t do this; they instead glow red as they are attacked. As demonstrated by Twitch streamer RedOrb (thanks Eurogamer), players can chain together Lightsaber attacks on LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga child characters such as Episode 1-era Anakin Skywalker and glitch across gaps in the map through levitation.

Different characters will attack children in different ways. In another video, RedOrb now uses Obi-Wan to levitate directly upwards by chaining together lightsaber attacks against the unlucky Episode 1-era Anakin Skywalker again. He even managed to discover a hidden Kyber Brick in the process.

At the moment players are only using this trick to access unreachable areas early, but it remains to be seen what else players will be able to do with it. There are around 300 playable characters between the nine movies represented in The Skywalker Saga, so other characters may even be able to levitate in different ways. The trophy list indicates there are at least 1,000 Kyber bricks in the game too, so at least this method will give players a head start at completing their collection.

In other news, 110 Industries has hinted at a possible collaboration with Ys Net to create Shenmue 4. Creator Yu Suzuki had been looking for a publisher for the game and may possibly have found one. Elsewhere, ex-PlayStation CEO Jack Stretton says his favorite PS4 memory was when they created an E3 reveal that mocked Microsoft’s DRM policies.
