New Tekken and Fatal Fury Games Teased at Evo 2022

Evo 2022 brought a couple of surprises for fans, including what appears to be a teaser for Tekken 8 and the announcement of a new Fatal Fury/Garou game after 23 years. While the latter is more of a surprise than the former, both got a positive response from fans. The next Fatal Fury is already in development but no details were announced. Meanwhile, The Game Awards’ official Twitter account teased a reveal for the next Tekken during the event this December.

Tekken 8 teased with a new render of Kazuya Mishima

The aforementioned Tekken 8 teaser came at the end of a trailer announcing a new free update for Tekken 7. The update will bring balance adjustments and new tactics on August 17th. More information will become available in due course.

As far as Fatal Fury is concerned, it’s unclear when SNK plans to share information but considering it’s already in development, we should hear something soon enough. All the developer revealed is that the upcoming game will be a “long-awaited sequel.” “The city of legend still breathes. Hungry Wolves back on the prowl. A new destiny hidden in darkness. New Fatal Fury / Garou greenlit,” the announcement read. It looks like illustrator Aki Senno a.k.a Tonko will be returning to work on the new game. The last game in the series was 1999’s Garou: Mark of the Wolves.

Exciting times for fighting genre fans, then! We’ll update our readers when we have more information but don’t expect much until at least early December when The Game Awards is scheduled to take place.

In other news, it looks like MultiVersus may allow two players to share battle pass progression in the future, and John Marston actor wants to work on Red Dead Redemption remaster if it ever happens.
