We know you love getting good deals on games, because we love them too. Let’s face it, there’s so many great games coming out such as L.A. Noire that it gets tough on the wallet, but once again we’ve got you covered.

With so many stellar hits already here, and more on the way as E3 has clearly shown us, we’ve got to keep our eyes open for deals like the one found today at Amazon. For today only, their gold box deal of the day nets you L.A. Noire for $39.99, a whopping $20 off the normal retail price. Unfortunately, there’s only a few hours remain to take advantage of these savings. L.A. Noire recently released to a great reception including from us, receiving praise for its graphical prowess and innovative style of gameplay.

L.A. Noire spent seven years in development by Team Bondi, who created a new type of facial mapping to capture every emotion in an actor’s face. As a result they’re able to put players in the shoes of Cole Phelps, a young detective in 1947 LA, and have them determine whether or not suspects are lying by watching the expressions on their faces. The technology opens up a whole new avenue of gameplay and video game story telling, which is deftly taken advantage of by Team Bondi. This is a perfect opportunity to make sure you don’t miss L.A. Noire in the shuffle of other great AAA titles this year, and we’ll keep looking for more deals while you tackle LA’s notorious murderers.
