Gary Whitta Teases More Walking Dead Prior to Season 2, Makes the Wait “Less Agonizing”

February 25, 2013 Written by Jason Dunning

Season 2 of The Walking Dead game has been public knowledge for some time now, and Gary Whitta of Telltale Games took to IGN and talked about a very interesting piece of news regarding their future plans:

You won’t have to wait for season two to play more Walking Dead.

I can tell you what you already know, which is season two is coming. There’s not much to say because it really is very early…it’s a way off. But, knowing that it’s a way off, and knowing that people are hungry for more Walking Dead…there may very well be more Walking Dead from Telltale before season two. We may have a little something extra for you between season one and two.

This, of course, leads to a lot of questions as to what we may see before the season 2 premiere. Will it be an epilogue for season 1? A prologue for the upcoming season? Another chapter that details some of the events that took place in the motel during the months-long gap? We’ll have to wait for official word, but Gary did say that whatever it is “will make the wait for season two slightly less agonizing.”

What do you hope to see from The Walking Dead pre-season 2? Let us know in the comments below.
