Happy Left Behind release day!

General News

  • Speaking with GameReactor, Nordic Community Coordinator for PlayStation Casper Leise Andersson said of PlayStation Plus for the PS4, “We continue to build on the service and make it continuously better, and of course the games should match the offer, so eventually we’ll get AAA titles as well.” Considering how Europe and North America have shared PS+ free games on PS4 so far, this means we should expect AAA games in the Instant Game Collection some day for both regions. • In a recent interview, Kiefer Sutherland (the voice of Snake in Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes) said that his Snake will be “a little edgier, and a little more angry about his history.” Sutherland added, “There’s a secret that is actually really cool,” but failed to mention what it was. • Sticking with Ground Zeroes, more members of the media got to play the game recently, with one person saying, “Finished GZ for the first time in about 90 minutes. Total game completion? 9%. I think that tells you all you need to know.” Another added, “After completing the main mission and a side mission in 4 hours the game says I’m at 10% completion. Sounds good to me.” So, it looks like the reports of being able to beat Ground Zeroes in under 2 hours are true, but finding and doing everything the game has to offer will take much longer. [Via]
  • If you have The Last of Us Season Pass and are wondering where the Left Behind pre-order bonuses are, “They’ll come via a different method. We’re working it out yet.” [Source]
  • A Q&A for Strider has revealed that no DLC is planned for the game, Strider won’t have Cross Buy, both the PS3 and PS4 versions include a Platinum trophy, and the PS4 version of the games runs at 1080p/60fps and includes Remote Play. [Source]
  • At their event this week, NIS confirmed that they’re working on a PS4 game and more details will be shared later this year at the Tokyo Game Show. [Source]
  • As you make it through The Last of Us: Left Behind DLC, there is a sign that says “The All New Colorado Experience Coming Spring 2014.” If you look into this way too much, it could be Naughty Dog teasing their third and final DLC pack for the game, which is multiplayer-focused. [Source]
  • Patch 1.05 for Tekken Revolution adds new character Jaycee, increased chances to be a lucky winner with the Blood Seal Jackpot (February 14th – 19th), Premium Effects at a lowered price (February 18th – 24th), a new Level Cap: Level 70 and 25 Dan, which corresponds to “Raijin”, and a Mokujin Festival (February 21st – 23rd). [Press Release]
  • In the UK (and possibly the rest of Europe), anyone who pre-orders Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 from the PlayStation Store before launch on February 28th will get Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate HD absolutely free! [Source]
  • To change things up, the 5th Annual Canadian Video Game Awards will be held in November, instead of early Spring. [Source]
  • When Gunslugs comes out for the PlayStation Vita next week, PlayStation Plus members can expect a 20% discount. [Press Release, Watch The Trailer]
