Destiny Trophies Revealed, “Ghost” Dialogue Updated for Beta and Will be Updated Again for Launch

Bungie has posted an update for Destiny on its official site and it’s a rather hefty one. Not only did the studio answer a few fan questions but they even revealed what Trophies PlayStation gamers can earn once the game ships this September.

Before you check out the Destiny Trophies list, some of the people who played the beta might have expressed concern over actor Peter Dinklage’s (Game of Thrones) performance as the voice of the “Ghost.” For those who didn’t know, Destiny’s Ghost is an AI who guides you to objectives and narrates what’s happening around the world; sort of like a virtual companion. While he’s supposed to be emotionless since he’s a robot, Dinklage’s delivery was, well, a bit flat. This was even discussed in our Fireteam LifeStyle feature since it was a sore spot to an otherwise excellent alpha experience.

Fortunately, Bungie has now revealed that the alpha voice-over work has been updated in the beta, and that it will undergo another update for the RPG shooter’s September 9 launch.

Q. Hey, the Ghost dialog in the Alpha was totally final, right?

Hey, we read the same forums, my fictional, question formulating friend! In fact, the Ghost dialog has already been updated for Beta. It will be updated again for launch on September 9th, as well.
Funny thing about Alpha builds…they’re not done. Please pardon our Moon dust!

Now on to the good stuff. Bungie has revealed the Trophy list for Destiny, which you can see below. Bear in mind, though, we’re still unsure if this is the complete list since Bungie didn’t specify if there are any hidden Trophies in the game that relates to the campaign.

If you check the list, aside from the “Dragon Slayer” Trophy, there’s no other campaign-related Trophy, which is something I hope Bungie did intentionally to avoid spoilers. Of course, there is the possibility that that’s the only one, but unless they specify otherwise, there’s still hope.

As part of the update, Bungie was asked about the possibility of a Destiny Collector’s Edition, to which the studio replied with:

It’s almost as if we’re planning to drop all the information you need, and more, ahead of Beta on an auspicious date in the very near future. (Sort of vague, I know.)

If you didn’t get the hint, the next Monday after this coming week’s (next, next Monday)  is “Bungie Day;” and I surmise, the studio will obviously do something for its fans, and announcing the Collector’s Edition could be one of the treats in store for people.

What do you make of the Trophies so far? And also, are you happy that the Ghost’s voice will be updated or would you rather Bungie kept the “that wizard came from the moon!” way of delivery from Dinklage?
