PSN Experiencing “Minor Connectivity Issues,” Sony is Looking Into It (Update)

Update:

Things should be back to normal, with PlayStation in North America saying, “Network connectivity is being restored. Thanks for your patience.” PlayStation Europe also said, “Network connectivity is being restored to the rest of the network. Thanks for your patience again.”

Original Story:

Following the DDoS attack over the weekend that caused major problems on the PlayStation Network, PlayStation Europe has tweeted that the PSN is experiencing some minor issues right now and they’re looking into it:

We are currently experiencing minor network connectivity issues across PSN & SEN networks. We’re looking into this, thanks for your patience.

Meanwhile, the PlayStation Twitter account said this:

Network update: our engineers are aware of the issues and are working to resolve. We’ll keep you posted – sorry for the inconvenience.

Over on the official PSN Status page, Sony says the network is fully online still, so it appears this truly is a minor issue.

If we hear anything more about the PSN problems today, we’ll let you know.
