The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt‘s script is pretty massive, according to the award-winning creative services provider, Side UK. The company was responsible for the game’s voice casting and recording among other related tasks, and has revealed on its website that The Witcher 3‘s script exceeds a whopping 450,000 words!

Voice actors got to play over 950 characters reading all those words over a period of two years. CD Projekt RED’s Lead Writer Borys Pugacz-Muaszkiewicz said:

I cannot commend Side UK enough for what it brought to the process and ultimately helped us achieve. From casting and our initial recording sessions in the closing months of 2012, through putting the final touches on the voice-overs in Wild Hunt in the early months of this year – the whole team at Side showed immense commitment, focus and stamina.

All that hard work paid off as The Witcher 3 was very well-received by critics and users alike. In fact, we even liked it more than BioWare’s Dragon Age: Inquisition!

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. For more on the game, check out our previous coverage.
