Announced in July 2015, the PlayStation Vita version of Never Alone has now been cancelled.

Taking to the game’s Twitter account, developers Upper One Games and E-Line Media explained that technical issues led to the cancellation:

“For those who have been asking, we’re sorry but unfortunately we won’t be able to bring Never Alone to the PS Vita.”

“We tried our best but couldn’t overcome some technical challenges in bringing the game to the Vita.”

First released on PlayStation 4 in December 2014 (our review), Never Alone then came to PlayStation 3 in December 2015. A piece of DLC titled Foxtales was made available on PS4 in July.

Never Alone is nominated for multiple awards in the upcoming Emotional Games Awards.
