Watch Dogs 2: Story Trailer Released, Ubisoft Gives 10 Reasons Why It’s Better Than the Original

In the first of two Watch Dogs 2 videos from Ubisoft today, the Story Trailer introduces protagonist Marcus Holloway as he teams up with DedSec, an elite group of hackers trying to stop Blume CTO Dusan Nemec.

“In the new story trailer, we’re introduced to Blume CTO Dusan Nemec, an ambitious yoga enthusiast who views DedSec as a serious threat,” Ubisoft says. “We also get our first real look at DedSec members Horatio and Josh, and a confirmed appearance by someone very familiar to fans of the first Watch Dogs.”

The second video, titled ‘Watch Dogs 2 – 10 Ways It’s Bigger, Better, and Bolder than the Original’, highlights ten different ways the sequel improves on the first game. Here’s a quick rundown of the improvements and when you can see them in the video:

  1. Driving (0:38)
  2. Hacking (1:12)
  3. Side Activities (2:23)
  4. Fighting (3:10)
  5. Parkour (4:08)
  6. Flexible Missions (4:33)
  7. Customization (5:28)
  8. Sailing (6:00)
  9. A Likeable Hero (6:15)
  10. Actual Dogs (7:17)

If you plan on pre-ordering Watch Dogs 2 through the PlayStation Store, you’ll receive these bonuses:

  • The San Bruno Radio Tower location offers co-op mission opportunities for you and your buddies to take on, and makes the Engineer Suit available for that fight-the-system-from-within look.
  • The ScoutXpedition mission sees you tour San Francisco with a movie-location scout and visit some of the city’s most iconic locations (of which there are many).
  • The Bitflip, a full unique clothing set with an especially cool neon skull bandana (PlayStation Plus members only).
