30 Games We Want on a PSOne Mini

PS1 Classic Edition

Nintendo has been making waves with rumors about a possible SNES Classic Edition coming out later this year. That’s certainly an intriguing device, and one that most gamers would like to own, but what if Sony were to enter the retro realm with a mini-console of their own? That’s a question we’ve been thinking a lot about lately (check out our Now Loading… column to see our thoughts). It seems like it would have the potential to be a huge hit considering how many great titles were on Sony’s first system.

As such, we came up with a list of 30 titles we’d like to see on the PSOne mini. Cutting down the PlayStation’s amazing library wasn’t an easy choice, but we tried to choose a mixture of the most beloved, and best games that ever hit on the system. In order to showcase as many amazing games as we could, we limited the list to including just one entry per series, and tried to include as many genres as we could. That means that only one Crash Bandicoot or Spyro game made our list, despite there being several great sequels.

With that out of the way, check out our list below of 30 games we would like to see on a PlayStation Classic Edition!

We hope you enjoyed our look at the 30 games we would like to see on a PSOne Mini. While we ended up highlighting 30 great PlayStation titles, there are still plenty of gems that didn’t make the list. After all, you can only get so much bang for your buck, and there has to be room for a potential sequel. Sony, like every other company, does love to make money after all.

Let us know in the comments below which games you would like to see on a PS1 Classic Edition!
