Capcom has released a new trailer, screenshots, and first details for a new mode coming to Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City. The mode is called Heroes Mode and it combines Team Deathmatch with some very Resident Evil-style twists.
Operation Raccoon City’s Heroes Mode multiplayer pits players in four vs. four team deathmatch multiplayer, starring the heroes and villains of the Resident Evil universe. The heroes are Leon Kennedy (RE2/,RE4), Chris Redfield (RE, RE: Code Veronica, RE5), Claire Redfield (RE2, RE: Code Veronica), and Jill Valentine (RE, RE3: Nemesis, RE5: Lost In Nightmares). The villains are Hunk (RE2), Ada Wong (appearances in RE2 and RE4, also in RE4: Separate Ways), Nicholai Ginovaef (RE3, RE: Outbreak), and Lone Wolf.
Players will not only have to take down the opposing team, though, as the game world is populated by enemies. Gamers will have to take down zombies and Bio-Organic Weapons as well.
At the end of the trailer, Capcom reveals that pre-ordering at Amazon.com, GameStop, or Best Buy will receive an exclusive weapons pack and six alternate costumes. The costumes are named: Vector, Beltway, Foureyes, Bertha, Spectre, and Lupo. To see more details, click on the last image at the end of the gallery.
