It’s a triple dose of good news for people looking forward to playing Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn on the PlayStation 4 next year, as Square Enix has confirmed that the PS4 beta for the game will begin on February 22nd, the same day as the PS4 launch in Japan.

To make things even better, people who are playing A Realm Reborn on the PlayStation 3 will be able to transition to the PlayStation 4 version for free. As well, you can transfer your character data from PS3 to PS4.

Square Enix announced that more information about the PS4 beta and free PS3 to PS4 transition “will be released soon,” while “essential work to increase the number of servers and strengthen the service environment, with the aim of alleviating the crowding on existing servers is also in progress.”
