Not wanting to leave last-gen console owners without some new Dead Island, Deep Silver has announced Escape Dead Island, an all-new survival mystery game launching this fall on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC. It’s priced at $39.99 and you’ll be able to get it through retail stores or the PlayStation Store.
Developed by Fatshark (Lead and Gold), Escape Dead Island is a story-driven single-player game set between the events of Dead Island and Dead Island 2, and it will reveal the origins of the virus.
Starring Cliff Calo, the spoiled son of a powerful media mogul who has stolen a yacht with his friends determined to film the documentary of the century: exposing the truth about the Banoi outbreak to the public, you head to the quarantined island of Narapela to document everything. As you freely explore the new island (which isn’t what it appears on the surface), stealth will be key to avoid the zombies who can hear and smell you.
By buying the game at GameStop, you’ll receive guaranteed access to the Dead Island 2 beta, scheduled to begin next year.
