Bloodborne Goes Gold, New Game Plus Mode Confirmed

With Bloodborne launching on March 24 in North America and March 25 in Europe for the PlayStation 4, Product Manager That Kid Chris confirmed the game has gone gold and development is complete.

For those of you planning on picking up the game, Game Director Hidetaka Miyazaki confirmed in an interview with MCV that “there will be a New Game Plus mode.” Don’t expect it to be easy, as he added, “We’re having trouble beating it, though.”

In the Souls games, New Game Plus allowed you to replay the story on a higher difficulty with new monsters and items.

If you don’t want to go through Bloodborne again on a higher difficulty to extend your playtime, EU Producer Jun Yoshino said in a recent community interview that the Chalice Dungeons will keep you coming back after the credits roll:

Besides the challenge which will bring players back, we also developed a brand new feature called the Chalice Dungeons. Throughout your playthrough you can collect chalices and various other materials. You can then perform rituals, which will create dungeons which are beneath the town of Yarnham. Those dungeons will always be different, depending on the type of Chalice you use. Once you made it, you can save and share it with other people. The replayability is there. We can’t wait to see what people do with it.

Will you be getting Bloodborne on launch day?
