The Witch and the Hundred Knight Revival is PS4 Exclusive Director’s Cut of Original, Out This September

Nippon Ichi recently revealed The Witch and the Hundred Knight Revival, but initially left everyone in the dark about what the game is. Well here you go: it’s PS4, it’s an enhanced port, and it comes out in Japan on Friday, September 25.

The developer describes it as a “director’s cut” of the original game. Technology — most specifically, graphics — is now more fitting with current consoles. Players can take control of a protagonist named “Metallica.” I feel like that was part of the original, but her localized name appears to be “Metallia,” without the C in the first game. (I can imagine there may have been a copyright issue there.)

Other changes are said to have been made based on user feedback from players of the original game.

Here’s a pile of screenshots and a few pieces of artwork:

What do you think of this news? Exactly what you wanted, the total opposite of what you wanted, or somewhere in the middle?
