NBA 2K16 to Possibly Bring Back College Teams, Achievement List Leaked

It looks like NBA 2K16 will bring back college basketball teams, or at least that’s what the game’s Achievement list, as well as some records found on the Collegiate Licensing Company website, shows.

The Collegiate Licensing Company (CLC) essentially partners with colleges in an effort to help cultivate and promote their sport brands. Operation Sports user King_B_Mack noticed that when looking up licensees on the CLC website, some colleges had 2K Sports listed, possibly indicating that 2K will be using the colleges in NBA 2K16. Eleven colleges had 2K Sports listed as a licensee: Arizona, Arizona State, Connecticut, Georgetown, Kansas, Louisville, Michigan, Texas, UCLA, Villanova and Wisconsin.

On top of that, a leaked Achievement list, which can be seen below, also indicates that college teams will be available in the upcoming basketball game. One Achievement can be earned if you “Announce where your college ball will be played at,” while another can be earned if you “Declare your intentions to enter the NBA Draft.” The list features 50 total Achievements, which will assumedly be the same on both Xbox and PlayStation consoles.

Are you hoping that college teams will be available in NBA 2K16 when it releases on September 29 for PlayStation 4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC? What do you think of the Achievement list?
