Hello Games: No Man’s Sky Development “Going Really Well,” Isn’t Stealth Releasing on October 27

On Twitter yesterday, Hello Games Founder Sean Murray talked about the status of No Man’s Sky:

For those asking, we are still incredibly hard at work on No Man’s Sky, but it’s going really well.

We get one shot to make this game, and we don’t want to mess it up. Hope that’s ok.

While a release date is still unknown, rumors began popping up that No Man’s Sky might see a stealth release after Sony’s Paris Games Week conference tomorrow, October 27. Murray addressed this rumor head-on by saying, “I heard that rumour that NMS is stealth releasing on Oct 27th. It is false.”

Also, Hello Games gave a lot of thought to Early Access this year, “but it’s not right for NMS.”

If you were hoping for more No Man’s Sky news at Paris Games Week, it won’t come from Murray. “I can’t be there, but I know Sony have an amazing show planned. If you are a gamer, tune in ;),” he said.

Murray then answered the question of whether or not they revealed NMS too early:

Maybe? But the game wouldn’t be possible without the community it created. Their support + positivity is fuel to our team.

In case you were wondering, there will be “lots” of other ships other than the one seen in all the trailers.

When do you think we’ll see No Man’s Sky on PlayStation 4 and PC?
