Bethesda Brings New Dishonored 2 Gameplay to QuakeCon 2016

QuakeCon 2016 is in full swing, and it seems Bethesda took the opportunity to premiere new footage from action-adventure sequel Dishonored 2

Whereas previous trailers have revolved around newcomer Emily Kaldwin, the sizzle reel shown to those in attendance turned attention to Corvo Attano who, it must be said, hasn’t lost his deft touch in those 15 intervening years.

In offering a concise recap of the demo shown, Bethesda’s Global Content Lead Gary Steinman posted a series of .gifs designed to display Corvo’s abilities in motion. If moving pictures aren’t your thing, here’s an extract from Bethesda’s blog, this time honing in on Corvo’s Blink power.

And it all starts with Blink – Corvo’s signature traversal power. Our first glimpse of Blink shows us exactly what we expect to see: Corvo teleports from the ground to a balcony and ducks into a sealed building; Corvo instantly transports himself from a second-story window to some exposed ductwork across an alleyway. But Blink isn’t just for movement anymore. Twice we saw Corvo use his signature power in newly aggressive ways: blinking into a foe and immediately stabbing him in the neck, and later using it to slam into an enemy, shoving him back with deadly force

Here’s a glimpse at those powers in action:
