No Man’s Sky Could Get Paid DLC One Day, Next Update Will Make Some People “Very Happy”

On Twitter yesterday, Hello Games Founder Sean Murray revealed that a No Man’s Sky update for PlayStation 4 and PC, which will “make some people very happy,” is currently in testing. No details were given about the patch, but it will likely fix a number of issues, including crashing and bugs.

Prior to the release of No Man’s Sky earlier this month, Murray said “there will be no paid DLC, just patches” when discussing their post-launch content plans. However, in a new interview with Daily Star, he said he was “perhaps naive” for thinking No Man’s Sky would only have free updates, adding, “Maybe in the future there’s some reason why we just couldn’t possibly afford to do a certain feature without charging for it.”

Murray didn’t say they had any immediate plans to release paid DLC though. Instead, they’re working on bug fixes and adding more features like the ability to build bases and own giant space freighters.

What do you hope to see in the next game update?
