Sony’s PS4 Games in 2018 Are “Most Likely” Releasing in the First Half of the Year, Says Layden

At E3 2017, we learned that God of War, Marvel’s Spider-Man, and Shadow of the Colossus from Sony are all releasing next year, but the company only gave God of War a launch window (early 2018). In an interview with The Telegraph though, Sony Interactive Entertainment America President Shawn Layden appeared to reveal that all of Sony’s big games next year are releasing in the first half of 2018.

When The Telegraph brought up how Sony’s E3 2017 press conference lacked games coming out this year, Layden said “to be honest, we’re already halfway through 2017,” then added:

And that’s the nature of game development. No, I feel the lineup we have coming into the holidays this year – and [Gran Turismo Sport] will launch in the fall – I don’t know if you got to go to the pre-show? Well GT was heavily represented there on the floor. We think there is a lot of attention around that title from our company. And the stuff coming in 2018, all of that is coming in the first half of the year, so is it in the next 12 to 13 months? Most likely.

In addition to GT Sport, Sony’s PlayStation 4 lineup for this year also includes Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, Knack 2and The Frozen Wilds DLC for Horizon Zero Dawn.

Do you think we’ll see Marvel’s Spider-Man and Shadow of the Colossus before E3 2018?
