Destiny 2 Servers down

Destiny 2 Servers Down for Maintenance, Adding Update 1.1.1

The Destiny 2 servers are down for scheduled maintenance this morning. The maintenance is scheduled to start at 7 AM Pacific and conclude at 2 PM Pacific. Starting at 7 AM Pacific, players will no longer be able to log in to Destiny 2. At 8 AM Pacific, all online players will be returned to the title screen.Maintenance is scheduled to end at 12 PM Pacific. Bungie is taking the Destiny 2 servers down to add update 1.1.1 on consoles and hotfix 1.1.1.1 on PC. Upon logging back in, players may be prompted to download the update.

The patch notes will be available after the update goes live. This update contains the second half of the big December update that was detailed just before the release of Curse of Osiris, including things like changes to Xur and Masterworks weapons. It will also include the changes to Prestige activities that Bungie detailed last night, giving vanilla Destiny 2 players access to the Prestige Raid again. It will also contain a nerf to the Prometheus Lens, the ridiculously overpowered Trace Rifle that made Trials of the Nine a laser show this weekend after Xur sold it to everyone.

We can probably expect the patch notes to offer a few additional surprises that haven’t been detailed yet, in addition to all of the announced updates. With the constant updates being made, we’ve had a hard time getting a lock on our full review for Curse of Osiris, but we’re getting a much better idea of the flow of the content now, and will have a review available for the expansion and changes that have surrounded it coming soon.
