EA and Bioware have recently dropped some details regarding the Storm javelin within their upcoming title, Anthem. If you’re unfamiliar with what a javelin is, it’s a high-powered, flight accessible exosuit that looks an awful lot like something Tony Stark would develop. Other than the Storm javelin, there’s also the Ranger, Colossus, and Interceptor. Let’s take a closer look at what makes the Storm javelin an efficient choice for players.
By manipulating kinetic energy, the Storm is able to maintain a low hover and remain mobile and combat-effective while in mid-air. This allows the pilot to keep distance from their enemies and keep a clear vantage point over the entire battle.
With its incredible command of kinesis abilities, the Storm can maneuver in the air, moving through space instantaneously to arrive at a new position nearby, evading its enemies.
The Storm javelin uses a technology known as “seals” to boost its movement capabilities. This allows players to float effortlessly above ground while administering death to enemies. However, with great power comes a slight weakness in armor. Much like any mage class in RPGs, you’ll exchange efficiencies in defense for a greater boost in raw power. If striking from a distance is your thing, then the Storm javelin is for you.
How does this class appeal to those excited about Anthem’s release on February 22, 2019? Let us know in the comments!
