Sequel to Piranha Bytes’ Open-World RPG ELEX Will Launch in March 2022

THQ Nordic has added one more video game to the already-crammed Q1 2022 release schedule: the sequel to Piranha Bytes’ 2017 open-world role-playing game, ELEX. It’ll launch on March 1st for the PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series X/S, and PC.

ELEX II will come with a $149.99 / €149.99 / £139.99 Collector’s Edition that will include:

  • A copy of the game
  • A 9.2-inch Alb figurine
  • The original soundtrack
  • The official artbook
  • A two-inch “Cleric Amulett” key chain
  • A SteelBook
  • A concept album by Bjorn Pankratz, “Cassandra”

ELEX II will take players back to the post-apocalyptic science fantasy world of Magalan, where a new threat has emerged years after Jax defeated the Hybrid. An official overview reads:

Several years after Jax defeated the Hybrid, a new threat arrives from the sky, unleashing the dangerous powers of dark Elex and endangering all life on the planet. In order to defend the peace on Magalan and the safety of his own family, Jax embarks on a mission to convince the factions to unite against the invaders, as well as a personal quest to find his son, Dex, who got separated from him…
