Assassins Creed Valhalla Dawn of Ragnarok

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Dawn of Ragnarok Expansion Arrives in March, Odyssey and Valhalla Crossover Stories Launch Tomorrow

The earlier Assassin’s Creed Valhalla upcoming content livestream delivered the goods as promised. As well as confirming the existence of the leaked Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Dawn of Ragnarok expansion, it announced crossover stories between Valhalla and Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. While Dawn of Ragnarok won’t be arriving until March 2022, the crossover stories will be released as early as tomorrow, December 14.

Valhalla’s Eivor had already journeyed to Asgard as he relived his past life as Norse God Odin. Dawn of Ragnarok will once again put players in the shoes of Odin as he battles a new threat to Asgard. The Jotunheim frost giants are causing trouble again and have kidnapped Odin’s son Baldr. However, the bigger problem is they’ve teamed up with the Muspelheim demons controlled by Odin’s greatest nemesis Surtr, and he’s pushed the world’s greatest artisans into exile. For Odin to stand any chance of saving his kingdom, he needs to reach Svartleheim and ask for assistance from the Dwarves.

Combat has evolved so that Odin can beat his foes. He’ll need to find the Hugr-Rip bracer so that he can combine the franchise’s traditional stealth combat with more physical and brutal moves. These will include new godly powersthat he can acquire from his enemies, like a shapeshifting ability to change into a raven and sneak up on enemies. There will also be a new weapon class “with a specific combo system”.

The new expansion will add around 35 hours of gameplay and will also feature the Trials of the Valkyrie, a new arena to test your skills and earn new loot for both Odin and Eivor. There will also be extra lore, including how Thor’s armor and the Excalibur sword ancient artifacts were forged. As was shown in an earlier leak, the expansion will be released on March 10, 2022.

Before that, rumors of new DLC to be released this month have also been proven true. The free Assassin’s Creed Crossover Stories begin tomorrow, December 14, as Ubisoft brings together Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and Valhalla. Odyssey players will be able to take on the new “Those Who Are Treasured” quest that takes place after the events of the main story. Regardless of whether players assumed the role of Kassandra or Alexios, their character is taking a rest away from the battlefield. However, an old friend pays a visit and urges them to recover an Isu artifact that has the potential to change the world.

The quest icon and log entry automatically appears on the game map at Sami’s Port on Kephallonia Island after completing the Family, Cult of Kosmos, and Mythology quest lines. However, those who have completed Chapter 1 and reached Megaris may accidentally find the quest giver early. As the new quest contains spoilers for the main game, players are encouraged not to interact with him until after they’ve completed the three main quest lines. Completing the quest will grant Valhalla-themed rewards.

The story then continues into Valhalla when, 1,300 years later, Kassandra visits the Isle of Skye thanks to her immortality. In this quest, titled “A Fateful Encounter”, she meets Eivor and the two end up in battle as they work out their differences. To start this quest, players must have upgraded their settlement to Level 4 and completed the “A Wise Friend” quest. This time, completing the quest will grant Odyssey-themed rewards.

Both DLCs are part of a second year of content for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla that includes both free and premium DLC. While the Crossover Stories will be free, no price has been revealed for Dawn of Ragnarok.
