Forspoken demo reviews have polarized PS5 players. Gauging feedback on various online channels, player reception is all over the spectrum for a magnitude of reasons including its mechanics, lack of proper tutorial, and dialogue. Some folks have resorted to publishing entire guides on Forspoken’s subreddit to help fellow players, while others are offering tips and lists of things players should know before they start.
What’s wrong with Forspoken demo?
According to Square Enix, Forspoken’s demo is designed to give players a taste of the game’s traversal and combat. It also allows players to dig into various gameplay mechanics and parkour. One of the most common complaints is that the world looks dull and empty, and Frey’s dialogue is quite annoying (sorry, Ella Balinska).
Some players have found traversal and parkour to be pretty satisfying. However, others have found the control scheme to be tedious. Overall, there are complaints that Forspoken still feels sluggish despite nearing the end of its development. But some players noted that once they came to grips with the mechanics and tweaked various demo settings, they enjoyed the experience.
We got our hands on Forspoken and our full preview will go live later in the day, so stay tuned!
