New Fatal Frame Heading to the PlayStation 3?

It has been a long time since gamers last saw a Fatal Frame release, with the last one being Fatal Frame IV: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse back in 2008 for the Wii. However, a listing on Asian gaming website, TGBUS.com has a new Fatal Frame game listed in development for the PlayStation 3.

Earlier this year Japanese magazine Famitsu talked with Fatal Frame producer Keisuke Kikuchi and at the time he stated his team was hard at work on a new title and this could be it. It could also be a remake of Fatal Frame 2 for the Nintendo Wii, which was confirmed to be in development and releasing around 2011.

We here at PSLS really hope this is a new PlayStation 3 title as it has been far too long since we last took pictures of ghostly figures with the Camera Obscura. With unique gameplay and a lot of generally creepy moments, a new Fatal Frame would be a welcome addition to the PS3 library.

This is just a rumor at this point and we will let you know once it is confirmed or denied.
