Namco Bandai have announced that Tekken Tag Tournament 2 is coming to PS3 and Xbox 360 this September in North America.
The home console version of the fighting game will contain more than 50 playable characters, which is said to be the largest player roster in Tekken history. In addition to tag matches, the game will feature one-on-one battles and one vs. tag team battles as well.
Tekken Tag Tournament 2 will a feature “Pair Play” mode, where up to four players can each control one character in a team battle. The game also has a “Fight Lab” mode, where players will be able to customize the moves and appearance of training character Combot. Players who complete Fight Lab will have the skills they need to master the game’s complexities and will then “own” their customized Combot.
Details on the “innovative online functionality” included in Tekken Tag Tournament 2 will be made available at E3 in June.
