Metal Gear Solid 4 Trophy Patch Coming This Monday… In Japan

Gamers in Japan don’t have long to wait before they can start earning trophies in Metal Gear Solid 4, as Konami is set to release the achievement-centric update this coming Monday.

According to a report from Andriasang, the patch will launch in the region on August 6th and provide two very important features. The first is the aforementioned addition of trophies, while the other is the much needed data install option that will cut down on those ridiculously long load times between levels.

For those in Japan that plan on picking up the budget version of the game – which is set to release later this month – the patch will come pre-installed. Unfortunately, there’s still no word on when this update will be coming to North America or Europe, but news that it’s coming to Japan next week means it can’t be too far off.
