The Last of Us PAX Video Pulls Back the Curtain on E3′s Behind Closed Doors Footage

September 5, 2012 Written by Alex Osborn

Several months ago at E3, a lucky few got the opportunity to see additional footage of The Last of Us behind closed doors. Now, after having once again been shown during PAX, Naughty Dog has finally released the footage to the public.

Remember that unforgettable footage they showed off at the conclusion of Sony’s E3 press conference? Well in the video demo below, the developers take us through the same section of the game, only they take a completely different route.

Honestly, if no one brought that to my attention, I would have thought it was a different level entirely — it really is that open ended. But don’t take my word for it, check out the demo for yourself below.

What boggles my mind more than anything is how smart the enemy AI is. Between that and the dynamic relationship between Ellie and Joel, The Last of Us is shaping up to be one of the most engrossing game experiences yet.
