Touted as “the most fan-centric DLC package we’ve ever created” by David Vonderhaar, Game Design Director on Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, the recently leaked Uprising DLC has been confirmed. Priced at $14.99, it will launch first for the Xbox 360 on April 16th, with the PlayStation 3 likely getting it on either May 14th or 21st, but that’s just a guess.
Adding new maps in the form of Magma, Encore, Vertigo, and Studio, as well as the new Mob of the Dead mode featuring actors Ray Liotta, Joe Pantoliano, Chazz Palmentiri, and Michael Madsen, you can see everything in detail with this behind the scenes video:
Not mentioned in the video was that Mob of the Dead also has a new feature called Purgatory, which sends you into the afterlife should you be killed. Specifics aren’t known about Purgatory, just that it “is ripe with its own set of objectives, and offers fans a truly new and unique experience.”
