General News

  • We have no clue what it could be, but there will be some news about Killzone: Mercenary later this week. [Source]
  • Alien Rage will release for the PS3 in North America on October 22nd for $14.99. [Press Release]
  • When it comes to European PlayStation Plus, Hotline Miami will not be appearing in the Instant Game Collection this year. North America, however, can expect it this month. [Source]
  • The new Borderlands 2 DLC, Headhunter 1: TK Baha’s Bloody Harvest, will be releasing on October 22nd in North America and October 23rd in Europe for $2.99/£2.39 /€2.99 and “can be played in a single sitting.” [Source]
  • Konami has announced that the standalone version of Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate HD on the PSN will release October 30th in Europe for £9.99/€11.99. We’ve reached out for confirmation on a North American release date and we’ll let you know what we hear back. [Source]
  • You’ll be able to see the next-gen trailer for NBA 2K14 starting on Thursday at 8AM PST. [Twitter]
  • The Octodad demo within the PS4 demo stations now rolling out won’t have final voice overs or the opening cutscene, “but we had to get it out the door so we could let you guys give it a try.” [Twitter]
  • Tetsuya Nomura, Director on Kingdom Hearts III, was asked what he thought of the PS4′s 8GB of RAM. He said in reply, “I thought ‘That’s too much’ (laughs).” Well, it could have had 4GB. [Source]
