Double Eleven’s new reveal today has turned out to be PixelJunk Shooter Ultimate, a PS4 and PS Vita game that combines the campaigns of PixelJunk Shooter 1 and PixelJunk Shooter 2 in an “uninterrupted and complete experience,” set to release this Summer. Although Cross Buy wasn’t confirmed for the title, there will be Cross Play and Cross Saves between PS4 and PS Vita.

A twin-stick shooter, Double Eleven has revealed that PixelJunk Shooter Ultimate will have a full visual upgrade on PS4. This means you’ll be getting real-time environment lighting; new visual FX for projectiles, explosions, thrusters, and more; the resolution of the particles has been increased; the shaders have been improved; and anti-aliasing has been added to the edges of the fluids. Double Eleven has also revisited the color palette, while added color grading to every scene.

That’s not the end of the changes with PixelJunk Shooter Ultimate, as you’ll also be getting a redesigned 3D ship in the PS4 version, which allows for more animations and other visual improvements. In addition, you can expect a new, more intuitive and informative HUD, along with a new scoring system for you to challenge people with on the leaderboards, all presented at 60fps on the PS4.

There was no gameplay video shown off today, but we’ll let you know all about if/when it’s released down the road.
