To help prepare Destiny for the release of The Dark Below expansion at 1am PT/4am ET tomorrow, December 9, Bungie issued a small hotfix to the game today on all consoles.

Not kicking you from activities to install it, here’s what the hotfix does:

The Dark Below

  • General bug fixes to content features in The Dark Below

Activities

  • Increased challenge levels for the following: Daily Heroic Story, Weekly Heroic Strike, Weekly Nightfall Strike

Bungie added:

Players who need to level up to successfully complete featured missions at new difficulty levels will find what they need to upgrade their characters in the Tower. As part of Expansion I, vendors will be equipped with more powerful weapons and gear. These items will be available for acquisition by all players.

It remains to be seen if this fixes the issue on PlayStation 4 where people are unable to access Destiny after pre-ordering the content. If you’ve been experiencing this problem and it continues to persist, people have reported that Re-Downloading and Re-Installing works, while Restoring the License has worked for others.

Here’s a list of all the changes to Destiny with the release of The Dark Below.
