Sony has sent over an email to PlayStation owners in North America, announcing that it’ll be discontinuing its Live Events Viewer app for PlayStation 4 and PS3 starting this Tuesday, January 10. Although the PS4 will get a “new and improved” Live Events experience, the PS3 will no longer have such a feature.

As a valued customer of Live Events Viewer we wanted you to know that starting January 10th you’ll be able to purchase the latest and greatest Live Events, directly from PlayStation®Store on PS4™!
On January 10th, the Live Events Viewer app will be retired, but you can continue to purchase and view events until that date. Please note that unfortunately Live Events will no longer be available on PS3™.
From January 10th, be sure to visit PlayStation® Store on PS4™ for a new and improved Live Events experience.
Visit “My Videos” in PlayStation®Store to watch your purchased events.
