New Tracks and Vehicle Added With Today’s Gran Turismo 5 DLC Releases

Gran Turismo 5 will be getting DLC that adds tracks and a new vehicle to the game today.

On the PS Blog, SCEE Senior European Brand Manager Penrose Tackie announced that Gran Turismo 5 will receive two pieces of DLC: the Twin Ring Motegi Pack and the Scion FR-S ’12.

The Twin Ring Motegi Pack has two courses with four layouts. The Twin Ring Motegi is a racing circuit in Japan with both an oval and road course. The 2.4 kilometer oval “Superspeedway” is mostly used for American motorsports, whereas the 4.8 kilometer road course is mostly used for Super GT and Formula Nippon racing. The pack also has the East and West courses formed by separating the first and latter half of the road course. The pack will be priced at $5.00.

The Scion FR-S ’12 will be free DLC for the game and is a front engine, rear wheel drive sports car that has a two-liter horizontally opposed engine that gives it a very low center of gravity and great weight distribution.
