The Catch-Up: February 5th, 2014 – Strider Gets a PS3/PS4 Release Date; Lara Croft DLC for Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII

  • A huge February 2014 PlayStation Store sale in Europe kicked off today (it ends on February 26th) and includes deals on Knack, Tiny Brains, Enslaved, Gran Turismo 6, Hotline Miami, Saints Row IV, The Last of Us (starts on February 19th), The Walking Dead, and much more. [Check It Out]
  • On February 18th in North America and February 19th in Europe, Capcom will release Strider for the PS3 and PS4 at $14.99. Two newly revealed Challenge Modes have been added to the Story Mode of Strider, with Beacon Run offering a “speed-run race style mode” and Survival Mode putting you up against waves of increasingly difficult enemies.   • Possibly because it started its life as a THQ title, South Park: The Stick of Truth won’t have Uplay integrated into it. [Via, Twitter]
  • In addition to raising the Social Club crew member cap to 1,000, Rockstar also verified 10 new jobs in Grand Theft Auto Online. [Source, See The Jobs]
  • Back on August 20th, Superannuation decided against tweeting this “boring and insignificant tidbit” about the next Far Cry: “Far Cry 4 sounds super boring from the rumors. It’s the third game more or less transposed to the Himalayas or adjacent locale + monsters(?).” [Twitter 1, 2]
  • Proving they’re not done with Dragon’s Crown after all, Atlus released a small patch for the game to fix some minor issues. [Check It Out]

  • This MarchHatsune Miku: Project DIVA f launches on the PS Vita. You can expect a hard release date and price soon, but Sega did also confirm that we’ll see the Snow Miku 2013 DLC, the Extra Character Modules Pack, and the Extra Songs Pack when the games out next month [Source]:

  • Proving there’s no such thing as too much crossover DLC, Square Enix is going to release a Lara Croft outfit for Lightning to wear in Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII when the game launches next week (no price given for the DLC). The exclusive Survivor’s Axe and Riot Shield as part of the outfit will help you during battle:
