Sony: PS4 Stock Issues Should be Remedied as we Get Into Summer

Even though we’re a few months removed from the PlayStation 4’s launch in North America and Europe, the system is still selling out almost as soon as retailers get stock in, something that’s reflected by the fact that there’s been over 6 million units sold worldwide so far.

Andrew House, President of Sony Computer Entertainment, believes the PS4 stock issues will continue into Summer, as he told the Wall Street Journal:

We’re struggling to keep up with demand. Conservatively, as we get into the early Summer months, we’ll be closer to a full supply situation.

House also added that demand for the PS4 has been highest in the United States and Europe, with demand also remaining steady in the US during the launch period for Titanfall. He didn’t say anything about Canada, but with the recent price hike from $399.99 to $449.99, demand is likely to drop a little bit.
