While those of us in the rest of the world with a PlayStation 3 or PlayStation 4 can look forward to exclusive content for Destiny, gamers in Japan are getting the game solely on those two systems come September 11th.
Sony announced this news today in a press release, but failed to mention the reasons behind the lack of an Xbox 360 or Xbox One version. However, judging by the fact that the Xbox 360 never caught on in Japan, and the Xbox One doesn’t launch until September, it’s easy to see why it’s only coming to PlayStation.
Also, a new listing on the PlayStation Store in North America shows that the Destiny PlayStation-exclusive content is timed, meaning it will eventually appear on the Xbox 360 and Xbox One, we just don’t when.
Destiny will be available in North America and Europe on September 9th.
