Sony’s new gamescom 2014 trailer for the PlayStation Vita version of Minecraft shows how the sandbox title looks on the handheld, but fans might be disappointed to note that there’s still no release date yet. This shouldn’t come as much of a surprise, though, because we don’t know when the PlayStation 4 version will hit the market either. But what we do know is that 4J Studios has handed over that version to Sony for testing and its in the final stages. That could mean that Minecraft PS Vita Edition is heading to the final stages as well, if it isn’t there already.
Do note that earlier this month, a UK TV ad suggested that the game may be delayed until September. We’ll update our readers once we have an official announcement.
