We recently had a piece talking about the 11 reasons you need a PS4, which got us to thinking. What does everyone who owns a PS4 love most about Sony’s newest console? It’s been over a year since it first released, and we’ve had plenty of time to dive into the system’s features, get updates, and perhaps most importantly of all, play games. So with that, here’s what the PSLS staff loves about their PS4s.

Alex Co (@Excaliburps)

Definitely the DualShock 4. It just feels so good in my hands. I tried using the DS3 again, and it just feels so cheap and flimsy.

I think that, and the PS4’s OS. I no longer have to jump out of games to check the PSN Store, among other things.

Chandler Wood (@FinchStrife)

The social features of the PS4 are awesome. I love being able to easily share what I am doing, see what others are playing, and interact seamlessly with my friends. Then of course there’s the games. People say that the first year has been lacking on PS4, but I haven’t been left wanting much this first year. I have been very happy with the selection thus far, and the massive variety of titles that have come out.

D’yani Wood (@Dyani)

I like the seamless experience Sony has created for gamers. I can chat, share, upload, and switch between things very quickly, which makes gaming more social and fun.

Dan Oravasaari (@FoolsJoker)

I think the most valuable asset on the PS4 is its ability to seamlessly move between your game session and the PS4’s UI. Given the amount of time it took for the PS3 to move between the XMB and a game, it was almost impossible to keep up conversations or send invites on the fly.

Louis Edwards (@ftwrthtx)

Chat has never been easier with the DS4. I use the HyperX gaming headset and love the fact that all I have to do is plug it into the controller. Not only are they comfortable, I never have to worry about charging them. The fact that you can use just about any headphone with a mic by just plugging it into the controller is genius.

Mack Ashworth (@GamingWithMack)

The recording function has come in very handy for YouTube, and sending out highlights to friends on Facebook.

Mark Labbe (@MarkyMark255)

I like that my PS4 can play all the games that my rapidly aging computer cannot play.

Paulmichael Contreras (@T3mpr1x)

It’s a tie between the Sharing functionality and the DualShock 4’s built-in audio jack. I mostly use the Share button to take screen captures for reviews. It makes our screenshot galleries a bit more personal. Being able to play a game without disturbing anyone at night is a great feature as well, though.

Zarmena Khan (@Zarmena)

I agree with Mack. I’ve had some great laughs with people, sharing ridiculous gaming moments by uploading clips and photos on social media. All it takes is the press of a button!
