EA Sports has just given out some details about Rory McIlroy PGA Tour‘s multiplayer modes, including the Online Head-to-Head (H2H) mode and Online Tournament.
The H2H mode will match players up with other people in either Ranked or Unranked games. Three gameplay styles — Arcade, Tour, Classic — can also be chosen. While golfing, players will have to deal with a newly implemented “hole clock,” which means players will have only a certain amount of time to complete each hole.
In Online Tournament, players can also select between the same three gameplay styles. Daily and weekly tournaments will be available, but players will only have one chance to complete them. After finishing or quitting a tournament, it cannot be entered again. Both H2H mode and Online Tournament will have leaderboards.
Rory McIlroy PGA Tour is due out on July 14 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. For more details on the game’s multiplayer modes, check out the official EA Sports website.
