Hunting the wolf, mammoth, sabertooth and bear are actual missions that need to be unlocked. In order to unlock the missions, you’ll need to do a couple of things. First, you have to recruit Jayma to your village (story related), upgrade her hut to rank two and complete missions for her.

The locations of the missions will be revealed on your map. For each beast, you’ll have to fight and drain a health bar. If you die during the fights, you can return to the beast and the health bar will remain at what it was when you died. Once you drain the health bar, the beast will stay down and recover. While it’s down hold Square to tame them.

Glitch Warning: It is possible for the snowblood wolf to glitch giving it infinite health. You’ll know this happened if a health bar does not appear when fighting the final of three wolves. If this happens, you can use a berserk shard to knock the wolf out and then tame it.

Home Improvement – Bronze

– Build or upgrade any 2 village huts.

See the Trophy “Real Estate Baron” for more details.

Subdivisions – Bronze

– Your Wenja tribe reaches a population of 20.

This Trophy is basically story related. You’ll gain population as you progress through the story, upgrade your village and liberate outposts and bonfires. You’ll reach 20 fairly early on in the game.

Tears Of Shame – Silver

– Kill and skin 1 tamed beast.

This is best done against a weaker, more common animal like a wolf or dhole. Tame an animal, and then kill it. You have to be the one to kill it, it cannot be killed by enemies. Once the health has run out, it’ll start to bleed out with a countdown timer. Let that run out and the animal will die. After that, you’ll be able to hold Square to skin the beast.

Real Estate Baron – Silver

– Complete all hut upgrades.

Each hut has two upgrade levels including Takkar’s. You’ll need to use materials to upgrade each hut. You’ll find most of the materials pretty easily just as long as you are collecting things while traversing the map. Animal skins will be required to do this and those can be a little tough and time consuming. You can hunt the animals, their locations are marked on the map, or you can sleep at outposts to refill your daily stash. The stash refills are random, so it could take bit as well.

You’ll increase the amount and variety of items deposited into your stash by progressing through the game.

Press the Touch Pad and then press R1 to go to the Village tab to see a list of each hut’s required materials.

Killer’s Belief – Bronze

Takedowns will require you to take more stealthily approach. You need to sneak up behind unsuspecting enemies and press R3 when the prompt appears to perform the takedown.

And Stay Down – Bronze

– Eliminate 100 enemies using a club.

This Trophy will come over time as you play the game. The clubs are the weapons on the left of the weapon wheel. All you gotta do is kill enemies. You can kill them by swinging the club, or by throwing it at enemies.

Skewered – Bronze

– Eliminate 100 enemies using a spear.

This Trophy will come over time as you play the game. The spears are the weapons on the right of the weapon wheel. All you gotta do is kill enemies. You can kill them by stabbing forward with a spear, or by throwing them at enemies.

Sharpshooter – Bronze

– Eliminate 100 enemies using a bow.

This Trophy will come over time as you play the game. The bow is at the top of the weapon wheel. Simply kill enemies by shooting them with arrows.

Inflammable – Bronze

– Eliminate 50 enemies with fire.

Each of your weapons can be lit on fire by holding L1 and pressing Square. Shooting enemies with arrows that are on fire, will catch the enemy on fire. With the spears and clubs, you can hold R2 to hold the weapon out toward the enemies and that will catch them on fire as well. You can damage enemies with weapons, but the fire has to be the killing blow for this to count. You can also use your owl to drop fire bombs on enemies once you have unlocked them.

David And Goliath – Bronze

– Eliminate 10 enemies using a sling.

Before you can craft the sling, you’ll need to have recruited Jayma to your village and built her hut. The required items are Jayma’s Hut, 4 South Maple, 2 South Stone and 8 Animal Hide.

The sling is used by pressing Down on the D-Pad. Headshots with rocks from the sling will kill the enemies.

Outta My Way – Bronze

– Eliminate 25 enemies while riding any beast.

Before you can attempt this Trophy, you’ll need to first unlock “Tame Apex Predators” skill and the “Beast Rider” skill.

Tame a bear or sabertooth tiger and then ride whatever beast you chose. You can either kill enemies with your weapons or with your beast, both will count as long as you are riding it.

Alternatively, you can unlock the Mammoth Rider skill (which comes before Beast Rider) and ride any mammoths you come across. Just ride them and kill enemies that you encounter. This Trophy is accumulative, you do not need to get all 25 kills on one ride.

Bad Trip – Bronze

– Influence 25 enemies using poison.

This Trophy can be obtained in a couple of ways. You can hit enemies with berserk shards, or you can hit enemies with berserk bombs. Berserk shards can be crafted from Wogah’s skill tree. The berserk bombs can be crafted from Dah’s skill tree.

BEES! – Bronze

– Eliminate 10 enemies using sting bombs.

The sting bombs must first be crafted from the crafting menu before you can use them. It’ll take Takkar’s cave level one, 4 Animal Hide and 2 Bee Clusters.

These can be thrown at enemies from Takkar, or dropped on enemies by your owl. Select them from the weapon and press R1 to throw them like a grenade or Triangle to drop them on enemies from above with your owls. The owl method is especially useful when flying over outposts.

Quickdraw – Bronze

– Eliminate 15 enemies using throwing shards.

Shards are acquired from Wogah’s skill tree and can be selected from the bottom center of the weapon wheel. Press R1 to throw them at enemies. Aim for the head and this will come in no time.

Right On Target – Bronze

– Kill a target 50 feet away or more using a spear.

See the Trophy “Bullseye” for more details.

Bullseye – Bronze

– Kill a target 70 feet away or more using an arrow.

Before you can attempt this, you’ll need to craft a long bow. Once you have that, the easiest way to go about this is killing enemies at outposts or bonfires. Tag the enemies and then place an a waypoint as close to the enemy you plan to shoot as possible, so you can see how far away you are. After that, back up at least 70 feet and fire away.

Do the same thing using a spear, except you need to be at least 50 feet away. With the spear, you’ll need to aim slightly above the enemy’s head as the spears arc downwards more quickly than the arrows.

Gotcha – Bronze

– Eliminate 10 enemies using hunting traps.

You will be given traps from Wogah. An easy way to earn this, is to get spotted by enemies so that they run toward you. As they are running toward you, set the trap and the enemy will run right into it.

Sic ‘Em – Bronze

– Eliminate 50 hostile targets using a tamed beast.

After you’ve tamed a beast, you’ll be able to send them into battle to fight with you. Look at an enemy and hold L2 and press R1 to tell your beast who to attack. Your beast will attack on its own if the enemies move in too close as well. A message will pop up on the left side of the screen saying “Beast Kill”, so when you see that, you’ll know your beast registered a kill. Just keep a beast with you at all times and this Trophy will eventually pop.

Feathered Friend – Bronze

– Eliminate 15 enemies using your owl.

Press Up on the D-Pad to call in your owl. While flying over enemies, fly a little lower towards them and there will be an R2 prompt over their heads. When the prompt pops up, press R2 and your owl will swoop in and kill the enemy.

Expert Wenja – Silver

– Learn all skills.

You’ll gain XP for just about everything you do in Primal. As you gain XP, you grow levels and with each level grown, you’ll be awarded skill points and the skill points can be used to unlock skills. You’re going to need a lot of skill points to unlock everything. You’ll get a big chunk of them from completing missions and liberating the outposts and bonfires. If after you complete the game and don’t have everything unlocked, you can reset the outposts and complete them again to continue to earn XP.

Also, don’t worry if your XP counter disappears, the game is still counting what you earn.

Armorer – Silver

– Use the crafting ability 100 times to craft weapons or arrows.

This Trophy will come over time as you play. You’ll need to regularly replenish your weapons. To do so, hold L1 and then select whatever weapon you need to replenish and press Square to craft. The arrows only take one resource, so those will go make this go by more quickly.

Another easy Trophy here. Just climb to the top of Pardaku and jump off. The location of the mountain is below.

There are 15 outposts that need to be captured and they will be marked on your map. All you need to do is kill all of the enemies in the outpost to capture it. You can clear them however you like, but if you’re spotted, reinforcements will be called. These are great places to work on any weapon or kill related Trophies you may have remaining.

Conquest – Bronze

– Capture all forts.

There are only four forts and they are different than the outposts, although, the mechanic is basically the same thing. There are bosses at each one of the forts that you need to kill in order to capture the fort. There will be more enemies patrolling the fort and just like the outposts, if you’re seen, reinforcements will be called. Taking the enemies out stealthily before fighting the bosses will make the boss fights easier on you.

The locations of the forts will be on your map as yellow character icons depicting the boss at each location.

Menagerie – Bronze

– Tame 7 beasts.

As you progress through the story, you’ll learn an ability to tame beasts. You’ll need to have Tensay join your village in order to tame beasts. After that, you’ll need to upgrade taming skills under the skills menu to tame different types of beasts.

When you encounter a beast, throw bait near them to distract them. As they are eating, slowing come up behind them and the Square prompt pops up, press and hold Square until the beast is tamed. There are 17 beasts that can be tamed and their locations are marked on your map.

– Heal a tamed beast 25 times.

After you’ve tamed a beast, you’ll be able to send them into battle. They will take damage in each fight. Go up to your beast and hold Square to give them a piece of meat and that will heal them. It doesn’t matter how much health they are missing, as long as they eat the meat, it will count as healing them.

The collectibles consist of cave paintings, Dashya hands, Wenja bracelets and totems. As you uncover sections of the map, the locations of collectibles will be revealed. They will be marked as small blue icons on your map. Pick them up as you explore and work your way through the game and this should come fairly quickly.
