Set in Colorado, USA, Hitman Episode 5 is releasing on September 27 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, Io-Interactive announced today.
Titled Freedom Fighters, the story mission sees Agent 47 infiltrating a Colorado farm compound that’s been converted into a private militia training camp. There’s four targets to take out – Sean Rose, Maya Parvati, Ezra Berg and Penelope Graves – and Episode 5 also includes new opportunities and disguises, 70 challenges that will unlock brand new gear, and weapons and items for use in all existing locations.
Episode 5: Colorado also “rewards players with huge story revelations as the season builds towards a thrilling climax.” The season finale, set in Japan, will release later this year. Then, on January 31, 2017, the complete first season will be available on a retail disc.
Io-Interactive Studio Head Hannes Seifert said:
This is one of the toughest episodes yet. Not only do you have four targets, but from the moment you set foot in Colorado you’re on enemy ground. ‘Freedom Fighters’ is a key episode, which will add serious momentum to the story and set up an intriguing season finale for players.
The PC version of Hitman received a 200MB game update today that includes fixes for a rare crash issue when launching contract creation, occasional sound stuttering issues, an issue where a contract could launch with no objectives, and an issue where challenges were sometimes inaccurately evaluated. The update is expected to arrive next week for PS4 and Xbox One.
